Carl and Julie Rother of Kingfisher are delighted to announce the birth of their twin daughters, Chloe Kate Rother and Carly Ann Rother.

Chloe Kate arrived at 7:02 pm and Carly arrived at 7:04 pm on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Chloe weighed 4 pounds, 10 ounces and measured 18 inches in length. Carly weighed 3 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 17 inches in length. Maternal grandparents are Doyle and Marcia Coker of Sweetwater, Oklahoma. Maternal great grandparents are the late Deryl and Peggy Coker of Cheyenne, Oklahoma and the late Don and Elizabeth Hillman of Pampa, Texas.

Paternal grandparents are Frank and Vicki Rother of Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Paternal great grandparents are Larry and Lucie Boyle of Kingfisher, Oklahoma and the late Bernard and Loretta Rother of Okarche, Oklahoma.

Zac McDaniel formerly of Cheyenne, Oklahoma and his wife Jana of Okarche, Oklahoma are very proud to announce the arrival of their first child. It’s a girl! Zara Marie McDaniel was born on July 30th, 2010. She weighed 8lbs 2 oz and measured 21 ½ inches long. Along with the elated parents, she was welcomed into this world by her Grammie and Papa, John and Becky McDaniel of Cheyenne, and her Oma, Janelle Grellner, and Great Grandma, Alice Grellner, both of Okarche. Taler Jean Daugherty and Jared Allen Broadbent announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Taler is the daughter of Jeff and Caren Daugherty of Elk City. Her grandparents are Kenneth and Jean Kennedy of Watonga, Oklahoma and Wayne Daugherty and the late Peggy Daugherty of Arapaho, Oklahoma.

Taler graduated from Merritt High School in 2009. She is attending Southwestern Oklahoma State University in the fall majoring in nursing.

Jared is the son of Vicky Broadbent of Elk City, and Lynn and Cindy Broadbent of Leedey, Oklahoma. His grandparents are Don and Christine Westover of Blair, Oklahoma, Billy and Leah Broadbent of Leedey, Oklahoma and Mary Lou Kaiser and the late Vernice Kaiser of Weatherford, Oklahoma.

The prospective groom graduated from Leedey High School in 2007. He is attending Southwestern Oklahoma State University in the fall majoring in business management.

The couple will exchange vows August 8th at the Farmers Public Market in Oklahoma City.

Mrs. Destinee Lowry and her husband PFC Colt Lowry of the 3rd Infantry Division announce the birth of their son.

Tucker Justin Lowry was born at 03:21 Sunday, June 27, 2010, at Winn Army Community Hospital in Fort Stewart, GA. He weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces, and was 18.9 inches long. He joins his brother Huck, 2.

Grandparents are Mel and Trudy Manhart of Pampa and Great grandparents include Don and Nancy Snider of Pampa, TX; Bob and Donna Manhart of Durham; Anna McDaniel and the late James McDaniel of Elk City

Kynli Jo Carlson would like to announce that she has a new baby brother, Reid Norman. Reid was born June 25, 2010, at the Great Plains Regional Hospital, Elk City, OK. August 1 1940 Loy Lorene Christian married John Truman Flick in the home of Loy’s parents in Vinita, Ok. They reside on the farm they purchased in 1941 where they operated a Dairy and apiary until their retirement.

After retirement John and Loy enjoyed traveling and their many hobbies. John enjoys lapidary, silversmith and pottery making. He spent many years doing volunteer work with the OU Archaeology Department. John now spends much of his time working in his woodshop that his kids call his “office,” and yes he does keep “office hours.”

Church has always been an important part of their lives. Loy has been the church pianist for many years and continues in that position. She also enjoys genealogy, sewing, stained glass, reading and crocheting.

John and Loy are the parents of four children: David Flick and wife Effie Mae of Enid, OK, Mary John and her husband Bobby Carter, Susan and her husband Larry Grabeal and Jane Ann and her husband Glen Bowen and a Nephew Jack Christian and wife Brenda all of Hammon. John and Loy are doting Grandparents and Great Grandparents.
